A recent European-wide study found that over 90% of music nonprofits have one or less staff members running all their communications efforts. That’s just one person responsible for marketing, branding, social media, graphic design, video editing, web development, SEO… the list goes on and on. Simply put, it is a massively demanding position that requires a tremendous skill set, a resilient mindset and uniquely creative approaches to solving these problems.
JMI’s Digibazar Training is an annual event for communications professionals working for music nonprofits, designed to take on this issue by supporting them to achieve their organisation's communications goals and create a generation of communications superheroes!
This year’s event is a three-day intensive training in Limassol (Cyprus), taking place from the 2nd to the 6th of November. It is a tailored training that works with participants to craft bespoke approaches to address their communications challenges. We unpack the core competencies needed for the role, upskilling participants to improve in these areas, whilst surrounding them with a community of communications professionals to support them after the training.
The training is organised by JM International - the world’s largest youth music nonprofit with 46,000 music activities annually reaching 7,000,000 young people. Now in its third edition, it builds on the knowledge gained during previous training and JMI’s Digibazar (2023), an initiative that looked to uncover the unique challenges and opportunities facing the music sector over the coming years.
